Moderna was named a 2019 Facility of the Future award winner for 2019 for its new cGMP mRNA Clinical Manufacturing Facility in Norwood, Massachusetts.
This facility utilizes cutting-edge technology and a flexible design to support the production of Moderna's mRNA-based medicines. It features a fully digital infrastructure and can produce multiple products simultaneously, which allows for efficient and rapid response to emerging health threats. We are thrilled to have played a role in the development of this innovative facility and look forward to continuing to support Moderna's mission to improve human health using mRNA technology.
NECI played a crucial role in the success of the project, providing the lead deployment of the OT Data, MES, PCS, and Equipment Orchestration Design on this project. NECI supplied the digital integrations to coordinate ERP Production Orders, Manufacturing, and QC Operations that ensured the seamless functioning of the manufacturing plant.
