Solving Noise Problems for Valves & Regulators Seminar (NEW)

Students will learn about how noise is generated in both regulators and control valves and different techniques that can be used to help provide noise abatement.  

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:

• Recognize when noise may cause concerns in both regulators and valves
• Understand different techniques that can be used to provide noise abatement
• Understand basic installation best practices to minimize noise

• Fundamentals of Aerodynamic Noise in Control Valves
• Source vs path treatment
• Low noise valve / regulator designs

Basic understanding of what regulators and control valves are.  Some field experience is preferred but not necessary.
