Self-Op & Pilot Op Regulator Sizing and Selection Class


This seminar is designed for individuals who size and select gas regulators.  Student have the choice to attend either or both days.

This seminar will review the different styles of regulators and how they are best applied in gas applications.  We will cover some basic regulator sizing procedures, best installation practices and techniques to maximize regulator accuracy and stability, and to reduce noise.

Day 1: Sizing self-0perating regulators using sizing tables. Consideration given for various types of over/under pressure protection.

Day 2: Sizing pilot operated regulators using combination of sizing tables and tools. Sizing consideration to include worker/monitor and series regulation.

In this seminar, students will work through real-world application examples to choose and size the appropriate style regulator, as well as ensure adequate over-pressure protection for the given conditions.  Some self-operated sizing exercises will be performed using sizing tables. Please bring laptops if available.

Students are suggested to take the Self Op and Pilot Op Fundamentals course or who have at least a year of regulator experience.
